Chuck has been building homes and leading construction and environmental contracting companies for 25+ years. Chuck specializes in building future-ready homes that prioritize energy efficiency, fire resilience, and environmentally friendly practices. His expertise lies in integrating advanced building techniques and materials to enhance the durability and comfort of homes, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of modern living while respecting the earth and surrounding landscape.

Chuck is a licensed General Contractor (GC), a FEMA Certified Site Inspector, and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

PRINCIPAL, HEAD OF DESIGN

Steffen is an award-winning Architectural and Interior Designer with nearly 30 years of experience in residential design and construction. During that time he has overseen more than 250 projects in the United States, Mexico, and France. Steffen has worked with clients in a broad variety of architectural styles, from a Provençal country house to a seaside New England shingle-style home to a Mid-Century Modern masterpiece in Scottsdale, Arizona.

As diverse as all of these projects are, what unites them is Steffen’s devotion to helping clients realize their dream home while also working to keep their project on time and on budget. 

Andrews has worked with Joubert Homes since 2018 and has helped nurture the company’s transition and focus to Passive Home construction.

HEAD OF OPERATIONS

Mark has been working in construction for more than 20 years, as a GC/owner, and also as operations lead for custom firms. Mark supports Joubert Homes by developing a curated customer experience for clients. His goal is to provide a quality building experience that is fun, collaborative, enjoyable, and delivered with honesty and straightforward communication.

Mark’s Passive House journey began in 2009, when he worked on a Net Energy Zero development using Passive House methodology. Providing unparalleled comfort, durability and energy efficiency, Passive House is a building standard based in building science, focused on the occupant experience.

A Passive House owner, Mark has first-hand wildfire experience. While other homes in his area suffered great damage during a fire incident, Mark’s house was unscathed, and due to his smoke-tight envelope, his home’s contents were protected from toxic smoke damage.

HEAD OF COMMUNCATIONS

A communications leader with 20 years of experience elevating and protecting top brands across multiple industries, Darin is an accomplished brand storyteller, adept at delivering integrated communications and marketing strategies that increase brand value, enhance and protect enterprise reputation, and drive business results. Darin has extensive international expertise and cross-cultural acumen, with personal and business travel to more than 70 countries.

During a decade of leadership at Liberté Communications, Darin successfully executed global product launches, scaled startups, and managed crisis events for Fortune 500 companies, while also directing development communications, external affairs, and policy initiatives for top international NGOs. 

A passionate advocate for sustainability and next-generation building techniques, Darin is committed to expanding the awareness, understanding, and implementation of the Passive House standard.

FINANCE DIRECTOR

Steven is a seasoned financial expert specializing in accounting and business management. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Jacksonville State University and a Master’s Degree in Forensic Accounting and Fraudulent Investigation from Colorado State University, equipping him with the skills to tackle complex financial challenges.

With more than a decade of senior experience, Steven excels in leadership, strategic decision-making, and risk management. Known for his ethical standards, he is a trusted financial services advisor to businesses throughout Colorado.

MARKETING DIRECTOR

Keelin is a Brand Strategist and Marketer with more than a decade of experience developing effective brand and marketing strategies, specializing in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industries, as well as the decarbonization of the building industry and the clean energy transition.

She elevates brand experiences, enhances local search visibility, and drives meaningful digital engagement that connects businesses with their customers. She has worked with Joubert Homes to showcase their status as a premier custom Passive House builder, highlighting their industry leadership and role in rebuilding fire resilient passive homes for families impacted by catastrophic wildfire.

SITE SUPERINTENDENT

Tim directly supervises our projects, ensuring the highest quality outcomes for our clients. Tim’s background in Mechanical Engineering, as well as Passive House Trades Certification give him a clear understanding of the technical aspects that makes a passive house project successful.

SENIOR DESIGNER

Renowned for crafting elevated, timeless interiors tailored to each client’s unique project needs, Marissa Scherr’s portfolio spans the globe. Encompassing projects across her native home of California, to New York, Colorado, Australia, and Europe, she has had the privilege to work with incredible clients and teams. As a LEED-accredited professional, Marissa seamlessly integrates sustainable practices into every project. Her signature style marries warm, contemporary aesthetics while collaborating with unique artisans and trades, ensuring each space not only reflects the client’s vision, but their values as well.

Beyond her design practice, Marissa shares her expertise as a university instructor, teaching courses on design and sustainability. This academic involvement keeps her at the forefront of industry innovations while nurturing the next generation of design talent.

Kate is an empathetic and active listener, and works diligently with clients to find a solution to every problem.
